The New Law

Jesus Christ was always aligning his teachings with the Law of God, revealed through the Prophets. He never wanted to overrule the Law [Matthew 5:17] but to fulfil it, explain it, and express the essence of God’s teachings.
The old Law was composed of the 10 commandments and 613 rules given by the Prophets!
However Jesus reduced all these rules and commandments into 2, according to [Matthew 22:36-40].
1- “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind”
2- “Love your neighbour as yourself”
The Golden Rule that Christ suggested we apply in line with the second commandment above is:
“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets” [Matthew 7:12].
Therefore the Law of God is the Law of Love!
